ive signed myself up to swim, bike, and run at the crack of dawn in the east bay tomorrow. i think its gonna be all downhill after the swim. or maybe after the drive up.

While I will attempt to not compare him to Nicholson or “The Batman” joker, I just dont know if Ledger has that crazy and creepy side needed to play the joker. I will admit that I havnt seen too many of his movies, but the ones I have seen him in he doesnt play a creepy crazy guy completly off his rocker.

Ledger is wrong for this. He’s always seemed to be a very two-dimensional actor, not at all convincing, and here we have him trying to handle a character as deranged and maniacal as the Joker.

Horrible news. I don’t want Ledger as the Joker. He’s just so wrong. He doesn’t even have the look and his acting is mediocre, especially when he tries to act like Val Kilmer.

the link about “bollywood on tour”isnt all that exciting rather what surprised me is this bollywood tour is getting international press coverage, because these shows have been going on for like, 20 years. my mom dragged me to one when i was 8. (okay i was excited, i had a big crush on amir khan at the time, shut up. for those of you less familiar, he’s pictured here in a movie poster for an early 90s bollywood rip off a hollywood classic, it happened one night) Anyways these shows are basically 3 hours of the actors/actresses lip syncing songs they never sang in the first place. think milli vanilli concert except with a lot of browntown muscling their way into seats they didnt pay for, samosas at intermission, and awesome BO.

Today seems like a good day for a cover song. I absolutely love this version of Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire.” I always associate Social D with summer time. Today is so nice outside that it just seems to fit!

since i’ve been going to smaller shows i’ve gotten in the habit of skipping the opener in general, but last night, for the first time in a while i enjoyed the opener Waz isnt my favorite new band or anything, but they were charming, told good stories, and played pretty music that suited du nord’s darkroomesque lighting. Their songs tend to sound the same whether they are singing about heartache or passing out on the sidewalk waiting for a cab … this ones a u2 cover. also watching this video makes me realize i had major guitar goggles last night.
